The 13th Shanghai International Machine Tool Exhibition, sponsored by the Information Center of the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, China Social and Economic Research Center and Dongbo International Holding Co., Ltd., opened today at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. As the largest machine tool exhibition in East China, this exhibition focuses on building a business platform serving the global machine tool and machine tool related application industry chain.


The high-end equipment manufacturing industry is one of the key development fields in China during the "12th Five Year Plan" period. According to the plan, there will be significant trend changes in the development of China's machine tool industry. With the continuous deepening of industrial upgrading and structural adjustment in China, as well as the development of high-end manufacturing industries such as aerospace, automobile, shipbuilding and electronics, the demand for machine tools will continue to increase. It is understood that high-precision, efficient, flexible, compound and intelligent are the main development direction of CNC machine tools today. This year's Shanghai International Machine Tool Exhibition continued to show the trend of the machine tool industry, and a variety of cutting-edge machine tools and equipment with multiple sets appeared in this exhibition. The exhibition covers a total area of 84000 square meters, with a year-on-year growth of 20%. More than 1000 machine tool manufacturers from more than 20 countries and regions, including China, Switzerland, Germany, the United States, Japan and South Korea, participated in the exhibition. International machine tool giants, such as Demaji, Heidehan, Yamazaki Mazak, Morin Seiki, and domestic famous machine tool manufacturers, such as Dalian Machine Tool, Shenyang Machine Tool, Hanchuan Machine Tool, Haitian Seiko, all participated in the exhibition, Display more than 1000 models of the most sophisticated mainframe and key functional components in today's machine tool industry. The organizing committee of this Shanghai International Machine Tool Exhibition continued to cooperate with overseas organizations such as the Korea Machinery Industry Revitalization Association, Taiwan Tool and Component Industry Association, Japan Working Machine Association, and set up Korean Pavilion, Taiwan Pavilion and Japanese Enterprise Pavilion respectively.


The "2011 Shanghai Salon, a high-end equipment manufacturing enterprise," co sponsored by the China Machinery Industry Federation and the Shanghai International Machine Tool Exhibition Organizing Committee, was attended by senior leaders of major domestic industrial enterprises, such as CNR and China National Machinery Group, and the "Fifth National Defense Technology and Industry Manufacturing Technology and Process Innovation Seminar", which invited China's aviation, aerospace, shipbuilding Hundreds of leaders and experts from the eleven major military procurement corps, including the weapons industry. More than 70000 enterprises participated in the exhibition, more than 3.1 million people visited the exhibition, and the direct income was 2.6 billion yuan. Shanghai International Machine Tool Exhibition has made contributions to promoting the development of China's machine tool industry and cooperation and exchange with the international machine tool industry.
